Most WWE fans were shocked when Brock Lesnar (5-3-0, 1NC) def. Roman Reigns at the recent WrestleMania 34 event in New Orleans. It was previously reported that Lesnar wants to compete in the Octagon again. Even UFC President, Dana White, made it very clear he expects to have Lesnar back in the Octagon, perhaps even later this year. Lesnar re-signed a multi-year deal with the WWE and is expected to compete at WWE’s Greatest Royal Rumble event later this month. So what does this mean for Lesnar’s Octagon return?
According to multiple sources, Lesnar signed a new multi-year deal and will also be allowed to fight in the UFC as he’s still under UFC contract. Before Brock Lesnar can compete in the octagon again, he must return to the USADA (U.S. Anti-Doping Agency) testing pool and serve the rest of his suspension (more than six months) stemming from failed drug tests around his UFC 200 bout agains Mark Hunt (13-12-1, 1NC) in July 2016. If Lesnar returns to the testing pool in the near future, then there should be more than enough time to make the hypothetical matchup with either Daniel Cormier (20-1-0, 1NC) or Stipe Miocic (18-2-0).
It’s rumoured that if Brock Lesnar returns to the Octagon, he will face either Cormier or Miocic in a championship fight. Cormier and Miocic will face each other in a super fight at UFC 226 in July. Personally, we’d like to see Brock Lesnar vs. Francis Ngannou (11-2-0). Who do you think Brock Lesnar should face if he returns to the UFC? Let us know in the comments below
